In 1972, Sam Meineke started the first Meineke Discount Muffler in Houston, TX
In 1983, Sam retired from Meineke with over 200 muffler shops!
In 1986, Meineke moves from Houston to Charlotte, NC and adds brakes as a service
In 1996, strategies are implemented to add other services such as oil changes, fluid flushes, tune-ups, etc
In 2003, because of the broader range of services available, Meineke changes its name to Meineke Care Care Center
Today, Meineke has over 900 centers in the US and Canada with more internationally!
